Hardly a week after laying to rest Fr Isaac Rustoff, the family of the Free State Diocese in now mourning the death of yet another beloved Priest of God. It was with great shock and sadness that we received the news of the passing away of Fr John Segopolo. As a Diocese we would like to take this opportunity to send our deepest sympathies to the widow of Fr John, Sophy, their children and their entire family. We also want to assure the people of St Michael’s Hoopstad, including all the congregations that Fr John served of our continued support and prayers during this time of their loss.

The Diocese, and the whole church of Christ have really lost a good and honourable servant. Fr John will always be remembered of his quietness, softness and kindness.
